Inside the Sketch-book
I have always been a fan of the "behind the scenes". It's the creative process that I enjoy trying to capture a glimpse of. There is a spark at the start of it, a hypnotic shift where the art, or the making of it takes over. The idea or inspiration realized, this raw, still hot , fully formed creation born out of what seems at first to be nothing, stands glistening and steaming from the shoulders like a secret meadow at first light. Putting a polish on a thing changes it somehow.
